Educational Highlights

Michael received his Bachelor of Music from the University of Arkansas, in piano performance. Michael studied piano under DR. Rick Andrews and DR. Neil Rutman. Michael's jazz piano study was under Tom Cox. Recipient of the 1990-1991 Friends of the Art scholarship award. In the summer of 1987, Michael studied music production and midi sequencing with John Hilliard, a visiting guest artist at UALR

Present : Instructor of audio media production  and piano. Piano accompanist for the ballet, modern dance  program for the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

Producing / recording numerous projects. House keyboardist at Jimmy Doyle’s Country in North Little Rock, AR

February – April 2006: Recorded and Arranged music for a one hour musical production, which included 7 original songs, for former, ArkansasGovernor Huckabee’s 2006 – 2007 Heath and Fitness Education tour, a musical produced by North Little Rock High STARS Program and Michael Heavner.
